Tom Savage – Physiotherapist, is passionate about all things musculoskeletal physiotherapy and helping treat pain and dysfunction through getting the body moving!
He is passionate about sports and physical activity, particularly AFL and is currently playing 1st grade for the Belconnen Magpies. Tom also has a big interest in exercise and training. Along with his AFL training, he enjoys strength training in the gym, swimming laps at the pool or completing various running sessions including long runs and sprint work. Through personal experience, Tom has gained a valuable insight into all forms of exercise and movement, and their demands on the human body.
Through his own experience, past injuries and previous studies, Tom has developed a special interest in hip, knee, lower back and shoulder injuries whether its acute or chronic. He is also very passionate about helping athletes return to sport, as he has been through this experience many times himself.
Tom was raised in country NSW prior to making the move to Canberra to study. There, he competed in swimming and basketball from a young age, and spent his free time water skiing and mountain bike riding. This has given Tom an understanding of the physical requirements of wide range sport and exercise.
In his spare time, Tom enjoys watching all sports, walking his dogs, playing golf, and most importantly, catching up with mates.
